We thank all participants in our Beta-program. Your massive feedback helped us fix most of the bugs, add some functionality and prepare more efficiently for the next release.

IAB Studio is a new Rich GUI technology for J2EE and an in-browser Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for rapid development of Rich Internet Applications (RIA). This release of IAB Studio includes new features, as well as multiple bug fixes and enhancements.

Samples
The bundle package of this release includes a sample project and sample pages that feature IAB RIA controls. These examples can also be reused for other projects as well as used with another IDE and modified for the developer’s needs.

Multiple Data Sources
DB Manager, DB Admin, DEW Controls and DPC Controls all support multiple data sources. It means that data from different databases can be processed in one page without having to code it.

Advanced DB Manager
New features of the DB Manager will help you to create new tables, columns and specify or change data types. Now you do not have to use any other tool to manage your databases or run SQL statements to update the database structure. This feature also supports multiple data sources.

Movable Objects
With this enhanced feature you can move any RIA objects around the web page, maximize and minimize or even remove from the page. To do so you have to specify this option in the object property. Using this feature you can place as many documents on the same page as you want and move one over another without page refreshing.

Change Control Properties in Project Organizer
Prior to this release, the properties of a reusable controls were available from the Admin Layout only. For example, to change the properties of a DEW control you had to switch to the Admin layout. Now you can change properties of the controls right from Project Organizer. This feature will save time and reduce network traffic.
